Ilkay Gundogan could also feature
Manchester City will have Sergio Aguero available for selection once again as they prepare to kick off their Champions League campaign against Borussia Monchengladbach on Tuesday.
Aguero is serving a three-match domestic suspension but is eligible to play in European competition and is expected to come straight back into Pep Guardiola’s line-up for the match at the Etihad Stadium.
That means Kelechi Iheanacho, who scored what turned out to be the winner in Saturday’s Manchester derby, will drop back to the bench
Aguero did pull out of the Argentina squad with a calf injury but has been training normally at City. Likewise, Leroy Sane has recovered from his fitness troubles and could be in line for his first City start after coming off the bench at Old Trafford. Ilkay Gundogan is yet to make a matchday squad but he could be named on the bench, although Guardiola won’t rush Vincent Kompany back.e
